About me (Richard O’Brien)

Probably one of the most difficult things to do is to tell people about yourself. I think the main reasons for this is the expectation people have of getting to know you in just a couple of paragraphs. How can I begin to communicate who I am in such a short space? I mean I have been married for 17 years now and my wife (Melanie) still doesn’t know me (although I dare to say she knows me better than you do! ). To try to tell you who I am would be paramount to “putting myself in a box”. I think its fair to say that the only person who truely knows me is the one who made me.

So I’ll just highlight some of the aspects of who I am (the rest would come from having a relationship with me.. kinda like getting to know God hey?):
I am a born-again, blood-washed, spirit-filled child of God. If you have no idea of what I’m talking about then I have some really good news for you! (contact me – I’ll tell you all about it!)
I am married to to the most beautiful girl in the world and have 4 wonderful kids.
I have an absolute passion for aviation and sailing.
I play rhythm guitar in our worship team.
I am a dreamer who loves to work on creative ideas. Developing computer systems is a significant “outlet” for me at this stage…
